An Open Letter to our Leaders and Political Representatives
Our Aim: A more respectfully tolerant and cohesive Australia.
We, the signatories of this manifesto, write to our leaders and political representatives with a unified voice, representing the diverse and vibrant religious and non-religious communities that form the backbone of our nation. In recent years, policies such as the Religious Discrimination laws, along with divisive rhetoric, have threatened to divide Australians rather than unite Australians. It is crucial that we address these concerns to ensure that Australia remains a country of unity, respect, and inclusiveness.
The 2021 Census revealed that at least 53% of Australians affiliate with a recognised faith, underscoring the religious diversity of our nation. Most of our population reflects a tapestry of beliefs and traditions. Our collective voice is essential in promoting harmony and understanding among all Australians.
We, the signatories of this manifesto, firmly condemn any attempts to pit diverse religious and non-religious communities against one another. We believe that the role of leaders and politicians is to foster social cohesion amongst Australians, irrespective of their beliefs. It is imperative that our politicians have understanding and respectful tolerance of religious diversity in Australia, and facilitate tolerance of religious associations, liberties, and freedoms.
We note that freedom of religion and religious practice is a fundamental right for Australians. Furthermore, Australia is a signatory of several international covenants obligating the protection of freedom of religion and the rights of parents to instruct and educate their children in keeping with their religious beliefs.
Our diverse religious and non-religious communities wish to live in peaceful co-existence.
By presenting this manifesto, we aim to remind our leaders and politicians of their duty to foster harmony by enacting policies that protect freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of association, for the betterment of our nation.

b. That violence and incitement of violence against any human beings is unacceptable and must be condemned.
c. That human life deserves protection regardless of race, sex, age, ability, and stage of development.
d. That every human being has preeminent value regardless of physical or mental capability and should have the freedom to access physical, social, clinical, psychosocial and spiritual care of their choice.
e. The sacred and foundational rights of conscience, increasing tolerance and choice for diverse religious beliefs of patients, families and care providers of their choice.

An Open Letter to our Leaders and Political Representatives
Our Aim: A more respectfully tolerant and cohesive Australia.
We, the signatories of this manifesto, write to our leaders and political representatives with a unified voice, representing the diverse and vibrant religious and non-religious communities that form the backbone of our nation. In recent years, policies such as the Religious Discrimination laws, along with divisive rhetoric, have threatened to divide Australians rather than unite Australians. It is crucial that we address these concerns to ensure that Australia remains a country of unity, respect, and inclusiveness.
The 2021 Census revealed that at least 53% of Australians affiliate with a recognised faith, underscoring the religious diversity of our nation. Most of our population reflects a tapestry of beliefs and traditions. Our collective voice is essential in promoting harmony and understanding among all Australians.
We, the signatories of this manifesto, firmly condemn any attempts to pit diverse religious and non-religious communities against one another. We believe that the role of leaders and politicians is to foster social cohesion amongst Australians, irrespective of their beliefs. It is imperative that our politicians have understanding and respectful tolerance of religious diversity in Australia, and facilitate tolerance of religious associations, liberties, and freedoms.
We note that freedom of religion and religious practice is a fundamental right for Australians. Furthermore, Australia is a signatory of several international covenants obligating the protection of freedom of religion and the rights of parents to instruct and educate their children in keeping with their religious beliefs.
Our diverse religious and non-religious communities wish to live in peaceful co-existence.
By presenting this manifesto, we aim to remind our leaders and politicians of their duty to foster harmony by enacting policies that protect freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of association, for the betterment of our nation.

This open letter represents the views of many individuals and faith groups, who seek not the creation of new rights, but the proper recognition of rights which are fundamental to the dignity and conscience of humanity.
This open letter initiative is advocating for respectful tolerance of religious and non-religious communities across Australia. In a nation where over 53% of the population identifies with a faith, we seek to uphold the principles of freedom, respect, and inclusiveness.
In light of recent policies and divisive rhetoric, we recognise the need to advocate for the protection of religious liberties and the fundamental right of freedom of religion. By signing this manifesto, the signatories aim to promotion social cohesion among diverse beliefs and traditions that shape our society. The signatories of this manifest aim to create a national dialogue rooted in understanding, mutual respect, and cooperation.
